Who we are
Based around Glasgow, Scotland, we are a group of like-minded individuals who enjoy good food, good company and the traditions of Scotland.

Members of the group regularly met at Burns Suppers, whisky tastings and other social occasions and felt there was value in meeting at least once a year to partake in our interests and at the same time raise funds for charity.

A Saint Andrew’s Dinner was born and convened for the first time using the facilities of the Scottish Police College at Tulliallan Castle on 2nd December, 2011.

The success of the 2011 event, where over £2400 was raised for charity, resulted in the group being formally constituted in 2012 and agreeing on its aims to:

  • Celebrate the anniversary of St Andrew;
  • Promote and share Scottish traditions;
  • Foster friendships; and
  • Raise funds for charities.

After eight years, over £40,000 has been raised by the Group.

Our 8th Annual Charity Dinner will be held on Saturday 1 December 2018.

As our motto, “Omnia Scotorum’ (All Things Scottish) suggests, the SAFG is open to all who celebrate the culture, traditions and fellowship of Scotland.

  • This year, we are thrilled that top Scottish comedian, Fred MacAulay, has agreed to be our main speaker.

2018 Dinner

Following the success of our previous Charity Dinners – we have, once again , secured Tulliallan Castle for our 2018 Charity Dinner – which will be held on Saturday 1 December 2018.
